about me

My experience of holistic health and healing began with the need to heal myself from digestive disturbances, headaches, and physical pain stemming from injury. I found yoga in 1997 and began a regular practice. In 1999 I co-founded Soma Yoga in Salt Lake City, a busy yoga center that offered many styles of yoga as well as a teacher training which included beginning level Ayurvedic Medicine. At that time I began studying Ayurveda with Jaisri Lambert, and subsequently attended the Ayurvedic Institute.

I studied under Dr. Vasant Lad for 3 blessed years as well as his senior teachers, graduating as a Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner. I was on faculty at the Ayurvedic Institute from 2009 to 2018, where I taught Ayurvedic foundations and spearheaded the advanced student clinic.

In the realm of hands on healing modalities, I’m certified in Jin Shin Jyutsu (an ancient body/energy medicine) and I’m trained in Marma therapy by Dr. Lad.

As an herbalist, I have over a decade of study in traditional and clinical herbalism including Ayurvedic & western herbs.

In 2011, when I became pregnant with my first baby, I searched for an opportunity to work with Ayurveda through my pregnancy and postpartum. There was very little information and support in this realm and after birthing my daughter at home and experiencing a supported Ayurvedic style postpartum, I was inspired to gather some of these ancient ways and bring them to a wider group of women. As an “older” mom, I especially credit this thorough, time-tested care with preserving and enhancing the level of health and vitality I experience today.

I studied holistic midwifery with Whapio and La Matrona and apprenticed in midwifery attending as many births as my schedule would allow over a 2 year period, until I gave birth to my second babe and decided I needed to be more present for my family.

I currently see clients from all over the world in my private practice, and I lead group cleanses and resets.
